Elite 12

Premier natural stones at the heart of every Decor X collection. Each one chosen for the rarity of its quarry, the clarity of its veining, and the way it ages into space. Below: an origin story for each.

No. 01

Belgium

Natural Limestone · Northern Europe

A dense, fine-grained dark limestone quarried since the medieval period in the Meuse and Lesse river valleys. The deep slate-blue body fossilises into a cool, near-uniform field that holds polish like steel and tumbles into something quietly architectural.

No. 02

Bianco Carrara

Italian Marble · Tuscany

Quarried in the Apuan Alps for two thousand years, Bianco Carrara is the canon of white marble — a soft cloud-grey field threaded by feathered veining. Carved by Michelangelo, sheathed across half of Rome, and still the standard against which every white stone is measured.

No. 03

Calacatta Gold

Italian Marble · Tuscany

A rarer cousin to Carrara from a narrow band of the same mountains. The body runs whiter and the veining bolder — wide gold and amber rivers cutting across a near-pure ground. Hand-selected on the slab to control vein direction; cuts that read like landscape painting.

No. 04

Nero Marquina

Spanish Marble · Basque Country

Black at first read, then a second look reveals the architecture: sharp white calcite veining, almost wired-in, splitting the field. From Markina-Xemein in the Basque hills, where it has been quarried since the seventeenth century — formal, geometric, and unforgiving in its contrast.

No. 05

Bardiglio

Italian Marble · Tuscany

Carrara's quieter sibling, drawn from the same Apuan range but darker — a steel-grey body with subtle white striations that read almost as weather. It carries shadow well, holds presence at scale, and pairs as a foil to the Carrara whites it shares geology with.

No. 06

Namibian White

African Marble · Namibia

A modern entrant, quarried from the Karibib region of central Namibia. A creamy ivory ground with translucent crystalline structure that catches light from within — closer to onyx than marble in its luminosity, but with the workable density of a true marble.

Wooden White

Italian Marble · Northern Italy

A quartzite-hued white pulled from the southern Alpine ranges, named for the geography rather than a single quarry. Bright but warm, with a soft directional grain that reads almost wood-like at the right cut — a key ingredient in many of our waterjet and designer compositions.

No. 08
Italian Marble · Multiple Regions

Not a single stone but a structural family — angular fragments of older rock, fused together by mineralised cement under pressure. The result reads like geological collage: shards of contrasting tone held in a darker matrix. Every slab is a different composition.

No. 09

Serpeggiante

Italian Marble · Apulia

A creamy beige limestone from southern Italy, named for its serpentine bands of fossilised shell and mineral that drift across the field in horizontal currents. Reads as horizon and sediment at once — a quiet, directional stone that brings warmth and movement to large surfaces.

Emerald Desert

Natural Stone · Desert Origin

A stone that captures the contradiction of its landscape — the cool green of jade against the warmth of sun-bleached earth. Emerald Desert carries fine veining through a muted green-grey body, a tone that reads both grounded and luminous depending on the light. It pairs instinctively with raw concrete, dark steel, and aged wood.

Tibet White

Natural Stone · Yarlung River Basin

Sourced from the high-altitude quarries of the Yarlung river basin, Tibet White is defined by its exceptional clarity — a near-pure white ground with the faintest grey cloud, reminiscent of early morning light over mountain snow. One of the cleanest whites in the natural stone world.

Fendi White

Natural Stone · Premium White Series

Named for its association with understated luxury, Fendi White is a stone of quiet authority. A warm white ground with soft, diffuse veining that never overwhelms — it brings light into a space without demanding attention. Equally at home in a minimalist spa and a grand residential foyer.
